Question by Success & Money: I am planning to do my internship in canada of about 4 months, after which I would like to find a job there?
I am about to complete my MBA in Germany and I an asian, I am planning to immigrate to canada and I have an offer to do an unpaid /subsidized internship in canada, I can support my self financially for 6 months but after that I would have to find a paid job.

How tough is it to find a job in canada. I am presently pursuing my MBA in Project management , but all my work experience is in the field marketing and services and not in IT.

the company claims that during the internship I would be able to have a job/alumni network , how much is it possible to use such a network ? I know that these networks work for USA but what about canada is it the same?
I dont want to go back and apply again for migration as this would take very long I am hoping that once I get to canada and complete my internship I would be able to get a job and and get a PR (not citizenship) there itself , I know tht this process takes 18 months from germany itself but what about canada is it possible.

Should I pursue a career in physics in Canada?

Question by Bender[OO]: Should I pursue a career in physics in Canada?
Or is it too much work for too little gain. That is to say you endure very challenging schooling yet aren’t payed as much as a medical doctor or an engineer. (this is at least what I hear from people and many sources)

I have a passion for the universe though from the cosmos to the quantum world. But I also want to be a successful person that goes on big vacations, lives in a HOUSE with at least 2 floors, and OWNS A GRAND PIANO!!! And I don’t think a career in physics provides such. Does it?

Should I just major in physics and then switch to an engineering program?

Thanks.

Expect to make 60,000 – 120,000 as a physicist. You’ll probably need a PhD to do the kind of physics you’re talking about. It will take about 10 years of college to get to that point. It’s a lot of work – maybe not as much as being a doctor, but probably more than engineering – and it takes longer than either. Really, we don’t go into it for the money, we do it because that’s what we want to do.
