Skill Requirements:

Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Experience: Experience an asset

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Department store

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Point of sale system, Electronic mail, Basic computer skills (will train)

Staff Responsibility: 1 – 20

Specific Skills: Plan, direct and evaluate daily operations, Manage staff and assign duties, Develop and implement marketing strategies, Recruit and train staff, Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages, Customer service oriented

Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Ability to Supervise: 15 people or less

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
