Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Food service establishment

Supervisory Experience: Food service counter attendants and food preparers

Specific Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, Prepare and submit reports, Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys

Additional Skills: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods

Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people, 3-4 people

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Continuous learning
